  • Lace anything
  • Like-new hoodies and sweatpants
  • Listening to a new favorite song on the radio
  • Listening to Anthem Lights sing
  • Listening to Bear Rinehart of Needtobreathe sing – live
  • Long hugs
  • Long, relaxing drives
  • Messy up-dos
  • Movie trailers that don’t give away the entire film plot
  • My morning cup of coffee or tea
  • My time at the gym — exhausting myself before my day even begins
  • Not having to set an alarm for the next day and letting my body wake up on its own – best feeling in the world
  • Overnight rain showers; falling asleep to the sound of rain
  • Peanut Butter Cookies
  • Playing a piano
  • Reading a good book
  • Receiving a hilarious text from a friend when it’s needed most
  • Receiving a hand-written letter or note in the mail
  • Relishing in the truth that I am forgiven and loved.
  • Saturday/Sunday mornings before the rest of the world is up
  • Seeing a genuine smile
  • Seeing my favorite band live, multiple times
  • Seeing the leaves change color
  • Silence that isn’t awkward
  • Sleeping with the windows open
  • Slow dances
  • Snow-drenched outdoor Christmas trees, decorated in Christmas lights – that extra fluff gives it a really cool holiday effect
  • Snuggling (but only when I’m in that snuggling mood)
  • Spending part of my day alone
  • Spending time with loved ones

  • Staying up so late that everything becomes funny
  • Summer nights
  • Sundays
  • Sunshine
  • Super tight vocal harmonies
  • That feeling when working out and my body does something I couldn’t do two weeks ago
  • That post-workout burn that can last for days

  • The beauty of a fresh snowfall – in more than six inches
  • The color purple
  • The fact that gyms exist
  • The first real snowfall of winter
  • The sight of a live moose, although I will take an adorable stuffed one on occasion

  • The smell of an apple orchard

  • The smell of Ziploc baggies – I know it’s weird, but it reminds me of canning apples and sweet corn on August afternoons when I was a kid.
  • Things that are drastically oversized or undersized (e.g. XXL mugs and travel size toiletries, respectively)
  • Those moments during corporate worship where you are left in awe of your Creator and listening to hundreds of voices raised in praise to the King of kings
  • Those moments when I feel Jesus so close I believe I could touch him

  • Walking on crunchy leaves
  • Walking through the woods
  • Warm showers
  • Watching a classic Christmas movie
  • Watching a Disney movie – current fave: Frozen
  • Watching an NFL football game, preferably the Vikings
  • Watching the sun rise or set…on the same day.

  • When someone’s laugh is funnier than the joke

  • White tulips
  • Winter afternoons
